About The Fenland Roaster

Richard Jones has always loved cooking. While still a successful engineer, he started to cook for family gatherings and the response from everyone was the same: you should do this for a living! He eventually took the advice on board, stopped travelling the world building things, and The Fenland Roaster was born.

The hog roasts and BBQs that Richard built his reputation on are still a big part of what we do, as indeed is outdoor catering in general. But we now do much more, with a wide range of menus available including hot and cold buffets, and even a traditional ice cream cart.

Location

We’re based near Peterborough but cater for events, parties and functions across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Northamptonshire and Rutland. (And wherever is feasible for us to travel, depending on the scale of the event.)

We’re happy catering for most types of events, although here are some of our specialities:

• Corporate events.
• Wedding breakfasts, lunches and evening buffets.
• Wakes.
• Garden parties and village fêtes.
• Private parties.
• Sports events - including large cycling events.
• Charity events.
• Auctions.
• On-site catering.

Ingredients

Where possible, all our products are sourced locally, for example quality meat sourced from local butchers for our hog roasts and BBQs.

Special dietary requirements

Do you or your guests have special dietary needs? No problem. Give us the details and we’ll be sure to oblige.

Extra services

As well as the food itself, we provide quality disposable cutlery, plates and napkins or a full crockery service. For outdoor events, we can also supply covered cooking and serving areas, plus our own tables. We can also hire extra gazebos if needed.

To ensure a speedy service, we will have adequate staff to look after your guests at serving time. At the end of the serving time we will clear and take away all disposables, rubbish and leftover food.

Generator hire

If your venue is unable to supply the electricity we require, we have available for hire a 7.5 KVA LPG generator. Please contact us for hire rates.
